The Riley Racing team had plans to return to the MXGP paddock this year with a two rider line up.
The team had planned on running under the name of Haaz Racing with Tom Guyon and Kay Karssemakers under the awning to take on the MX2 World Championship.
Guyon recently announced he was leaving the team and Karssemakers has now confirmed he has split ways with the team as well.
It means the talented Dutch rider is now without a ride ahead of the MX2 World Championship getting underway in Argentina.
The team haven’t yet commented on matters.
The following press release via Karssemakers management announced the news:
Kay Karssemakers’ management has today ended their collaboration with Haaz Racing in good consultation. It is unfortunate and extremely unfortunate that after hard work in the winter, the Haaz Racing Team has come to an early end.
We hope that through this press release we can still find a place somewhere so that Kay can still start in the MX2 World Championship.

Karssemakers added the following on social media:
It’s a huge setback, but I’m definitely not giving up! Unfortunately, I have to announce that I’ve had to end the collaboration with Haaz Racing. This, right before the first GP is a huge disappointment and it’s tough, but giving up is not an option. How I will do it, I’m not sure yet, but I’ll keep training and proving myself wherever I can.
I want to thank all the people who support me, stand by me, and especially believe in me. Your support means the world to me, and I truly appreciate everything you do every day. It’s not easy, but I will keep fighting and I hope to be at the starting line in GP MX2 soon. You’ll hear from me soon.
