125cc race results: International Italian Championship RD2 – Montevarchi

TM enjoyed the first race as they went 1-2! Nicky Mannini led from start to finish but Gennaro Utech started to catch towards the end with Mantovani hot on his heels but the KTM rider then dropped it on the last lap. Katona ended up third over rookie, Ricaro Bauer.

Cole McCullough started outside the top ten but worked his way up to sixth with Jamie Keith eighth.

In the second race, Nicolo Alvisi was able to take a much better start and stayed out of trouble. The impressive Italian ran away with things at the front – but then crashed out of the lead allowing Mantovani to get to the front.

Alvisi stayed calm and passed him for the win but Mantovani still rode well for second to clinch the championship. Katona had another strong ride for third with Mannini fourth but that was enough for the TM rider to take the overall.
