Race One: Conrad Mewse came from just inside the top ten to catch and pass Adam Sterry who had the best part of a 15 second lead on Mewse! Conrad went to elite GP rider mode to still win by twenty seconds in a great ride. Tristan Purdon took third from Gilbert and Carpenter.

But Mewse, amazingly, said he wasn’t happy and he “didn’t ride how I wanted to ride. I’m not going to mix it up with the likes of Chase Sexton riding like that. Go back to the drawing board and come out swinging in the next one”. Yikes!

Race Two:

After another bad start, Conrad Mewse had to come from over 20 seconds down to pass Josh Gilbert and then leader, and in-form Adam Sterry, to ensure overall victory. Mewse showed incredible speed and eventually won by over 20 seconds in a brilliant ride and it underlines again just why Mewse should be racing at a higher level. Hopefully he can show this speed in the US nationals and GP events he competes in later this year!

Mewse said: “I just messed the start up again which made life difficult. I was happier with that one, my riding was better, we made some changes inbetween, the bike was working great in that one. I loved every minute of it, perfect day to start the championship.”
