Race One:  Bobby Bruce controlled the opening moto of the season keeping Tommy Searle at bay all moto long with Doensen making a charge at Searle late but the experienced English man held the young Dutch kid off on the final lap.

Ben Mustoe rode fantastic for fourth and that included a crash while chasing Searle in third. Charlie Heyman took fifth in a good ride with Billy Askew coming from the back of the pack to sixth just ahead of Glenn McCormick who had a cracking ride for seventh.

Race Two: Billy Askew led the entire second moto to take a brilliant victory over Bobby Bruce but it was Bruce who took the overall win. Tommy Searle was third but put in a late burst of speed to pass Bruce for second on the penultimate lap with Askew not far away but a mistake a couple of corners later amongst the backmarkers allowed Bruce back into second and

Askew said: “I’m happy with that. I felt good out there. I gauge on where they were so I was just making sure I wouldn’t do anything stupid and bring it home. It feels like it’s been a while since I have been her but it’s only been a year. It’s been a long time coming, I feel like I had the pace but I just needed to put it together like that. It’s definitely going to give me a bit of confidence going into the next round. Hopefully we will do the same, get the holeshot and do my riding up front, that’s where I am most comfortable.”

Overall winner Bruce said: “Bill started off with a really good pace. That pace felt a lot strong than the first one, I just towed on the back of him and then Tommy was coming and I knew his gameplan was to push with three laps to go so I sort of held back a bit, and then he actually passed me and I think he stalled it. To get the red plate is not what I expected but I am happy to be in this situation.”
