Cole Davies has a broken arm and broken nose after one of the scariest crashes you with see having got landed on by Jordon Smith during timed qualifying in Salt Lake City but, as Davies says, it could have been a lot worse.
Cole, who was clutching his rookie of the year award, in the hospital, said: “Devastating way to end the supercross season but looking at the postives, it’s been one hell of a rookie season. Stoked with how it’s went thank you to everyone that has helped me oand the whole Monster Energy Star Racing team.

“As of my condition right now, I have a broken arm and a broken nose. Definitely could have been a lot worse, grateful to come away somewhat okay, that was a very gnarly crash. Thank you to the whole Alpinestars medical crew for taking good care of me.
“I have surgery tomorrow morning. I’ll be back better and stronger everyone.“
