Just when it looked like he was in prime position to put a pass on Tim Gajser after coming from seventh to battling his training partner from last season for the win, Lucas Coenen went down after his Red Bull KTM got buck wild in the ruts!
Coenen eventually finished sixth with some bent bars but the 18 year-old rookie showed he has the speed to win in MXGP. This could be an exciting season to watch with Coenen on this pace already after a recent injury and Herlings still to be added into the mix!
